Flight School

Galt's Flight School offers a unique brand of personalized instruction designed to produce safe, competent pilots who don't just learn how to fly, they learn how to fly well.

Galt's chief flight instructor has extensive aviation experience and a level of expertise not often found in general aviation flight schools.  Our chief instructor is also an experienced aircraft mechanic and offers a much more in depth, safety concious viewpoint on learning to fly.

As a student pilot, you will work closely with your instructor to master skills like steep turns, turns around a point, navigation, and aeronautical decision making.  Before you know it, you'll be a licensed Pilot!

Our Cessna 172 model N is meticulously maintained and always hangared.  We just finished some major avionics upgrades as well as a new interior, paint, and seats. 

Our avionics package includes a Garmin 430, new transponder with live traffic, dual CDI's, and even a music input for those long cross countries!  Our 172 is also certified for IFR flight.
       
Flight School Rates:
Cessna 172

Rental Club Rate:  $122 per hour (wet)
Rental Non-Club:  $132 per hour (wet)

Instruction (private) Club Rate:  $50 per hour
Instruction (private) Non-Club :  $55 per hour

Becoming a member of our flight club is easy!
There is an initial fee of $125 and, after that, a monthly due of $25.  If you fly a couple hours a month, it pays for itself!
